About Chief State Safety Programme (SSP) Coordinator at Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
Loise is the Chief State Safety Programme (SSP) Coordinator at Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA). Where she ensures that Kenya proactively manages Aviation Safety as required by ICAO Standards and Recommended practices. In her capacity, she also provides guidance on the effective implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS) by aviation service providers.
She was an active Air Traffic Controller for 12 years before heading the SSP, and holds a M.Sc in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University specializing in Aviation/Aerospace Safety Systems and a B.Sc - Mathematics & Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Loise is passionate about aviation and especially in Africa - she is involved in mentorship activities, women empowerment initiatives and currently serves as an Advisor for the WAI-Kenya chapter. In addition, she is the chairperson of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) Safety Management (SSP/SMS) Experts Workgroup.
